FC Ifeanyi Ubah to play Confed Cup in Nnewi

FC Ifeanyi Ubah will play their 2017 Caf Confederation Cup match at the club’s homeground, in Nnewi, naijaleague.com.ng can reveal.

Victory over Nasarawa United earned the Nnewi side their first silverware and a ticket to represent Nigeria in the continental fiesta.

Club chairman, Chukwuma Ubah, revealed this to naijaleague.com.ng

“An inspection team has come to Nnewi to see our homeground and it has been certified fit to host the match”, Ubah said to naijaleague.com.ng.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah will play a preliminary round match against Egyptian side, Al Masry, in February, as they debut in Caf’s second club competition.

The first leg holds February 10 through 12 and the return leg February 17 through 19.
