Sunday’s match day 28 clash between Remo Stars and FC
Ifeanyi Ubah will not hold as several players of the home side have been hospitalised
due to what has been described as “food poisoning.”
This is the first time in the history of the domestic league
that suspected food poisoning will lead to the cancellation of a league match.
Visiting FC Ifeanyi Ubah were already in Sagamu for the
macth.
Umar Martaba, Oknuoghae Osas, Edozie Ewelike, Onovo David, Ekene Awazie, Abiodun Awoyemi, Ekene Obi and Saidu Muhammed, all first team players are amongst players receiving treatment.
Remo Stars Head Coach, Fatai Osho confirmed the development.
“Key players are receiving treatment in the hospital,” he
said to naijaleaguez.com.ng
“LMC is monitoring the condition of Remo Stars players at
the hospital and wish them quick recovery,” the League Management Company
(LMC), Tweeted via its Official Tweeter Account.
The LMC will announce another date for this fixture.
