Former Benin Republic
junior international, Giscard Tchatto, is delighted to score his first goal for
Nigerian side, MFM.
Tchatto who missed
the opening matches against Niger Tornadoes and FC Ifeanyi Ubah, this term, hit
target in Sunday’s match day three annihilation of 1999 Nigerian champions,
Lobi Stars.
After replacing
Adegboyegba Adekunle, the box-to-box midfielder received a pass from Sikiru
Olatunbosun and announced his arrival with a stunning goal from the edge of the
box that left the experienced John Lawrence helpless.
“I’m excited to
start off my season with a goal for MFM having missed matches on match day one
and two. We had a good outing and it was fantastic performance.
“Paper works
delayed my debut last season and I played only one match. Having kicked off my
season this way, the challenge is to remain consistent”, Tchatto said to
naijaleague.com.ng.
Tchatto played for
AS Police and Mogas 90 in his native Benin Republic before his Nigerian
adventure kicked off last season.
With his goal
against Lobi Stars, Tchatto becomes the first foreigner to score for MFM in the
Nigeria Professional Football League.
